To play the piano I want to introduce you, we don’t just concern on signs that are translated into sounds, but we have to listen at the way we are listening at that music. We have to learn again to listen at our self.

What we do since the first meeting, to choose to have our lessons and putting the hands together on the keyboard, it’s already a fundamental and integral part of our stroll.

For this reason I ask you from which song do you want to start, from which emotion.

The main difference between the piano lessons we are use to and the ones of the Intuitive Piano is radical: I don’t give answers, but help you develop your dreams, your questions, to give shape to your emotions.

So I ask you to play the song you told me and invite you to find it on the keyboard. You tell me that you’re here to learn that, so I answer: Play.

Try, experience, choose the sounds from which you want to start… maybe you also find it.

We understand together what you have done and discover the relations between the notes you’ve played:

we are understanding what is a Musical Scale!

Music it’s all a fact of relations, that we, for example, call grades, heights, rhythms, keys: the surrounding of what we are playing.

The relation between this relations allows us to circumscribe what we are hearing, the emotions, with signs and senses.

Learning to draw your emotions with music, you don’t just learn to play that song, but makes you understand the sense of the emotion you felt while you were playing it.

So, the Method is the sense, it’s analytical. We learn to understand the song in its parts: we decompose and rebuilt it to play it, to have the control on it.

In this way we ascribe to each part its function and its relation with the others.

Somehow we don’t start from a seed to develop it into a forest but, vice versa, we approach that garden from above understanding, more we get nearer, the sense of it’s composition.

For this reason the Method is based on curiosity, progressively gliding towards what we want to achieve throughout ideas, stories and rules.

For this reason the Intuitive Piano is a way to develop passion, ambition and desire to take care of something. First of all our self.

Because the theory that we’ll progressivly learn will help us build a rational dialog with our emotions and desires.

In this way we develop a personal approach with the music and the instrument, learning to play the piano we discover ourselves and why we have chose to start with that specific song.

“Music is geometry’s soul” (Claudel Paul) and geometry is to understand the order, to put in order.

Therefore, learning to recreate the order of that song from which we started makes us discover new ways of creating order… like ours.
